Keeping Christ This Christmas

“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” Matthew 2:9-11

More than any other season, it is Christmas that we are reminded of God’s sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save the world. Let us look forward to remembering Christ’s birth on Christmas Day. More than the gifts, the feasting, it is God sacrificing His only begotten Son to save the world that spells everything out about Christmas.

Thank you, Jesus, for taking our place!

Beyond the gift giving, the parties and the feasting, may we keep Christ in our Christmas and give Him the honor that He deserves.

A blessed Christmas to all!

Trying To Conceive Can Be Hard

Supposedly, trying to conceive is to be a natural process that is easy, at least. That is what people would lead you to think. Yet, if you have been trying to conceive for many months or even years, you may realize that having children does not come easily for everyone.

When it comes to getting pregnant, there are sometimes many different obstacles to overcome. Most women think that getting pregnant will just come naturally, but that is not always the case. There are many things that can affect fertility, including medical history, family history, your partner’s health, your age, environmental factors, your own health, and more. This is why it is always a good idea for both you and your partner to make it a point to visit your doctor before you being trying to conceive so that your doctor can help you pinpoint any potential issues that might arise, and you can know what to expect.

Cadbury Dairy Milk’s New Limited Edition Flavors

♫♪ “Baby baby baby baby, heaven sent you. Maybe maybe maybe maybe, we were meant to be together, be forever, two lil’ hearts go boom. Boom boom boom boom.” ♪♫

Who wouldn't know this song? Admit it. We've all been into LSS mode ever since we heard this commercial of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

photo not mine

But if this beautiful girl get to have her sweet ending with this guy, so me too! I was able to experience, so far, the sweetest day ever! Thanks to Nuffnang and Cadbury for making it possible.

Well, if you’re asking what I am talking about, continue to read this post. :P

Last November 21, I, together with my 3 blogger friends slash relatives, were chosen to be the lucky tributes who got to watch the premiere movie screening of the most awaited movie of the year – The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (Part 1). Since one chosen blogger gets to have 3 tickets each, then that gave us 12 tickets all in all! Sweeet! :) On top of that, Cadbury sponsoring this event even got us more excited! :) I can truly say that the odds were in our favor!

So after dinner, my Barkada trooped to Cinema 2 of Shangri-La Cineplex and as expected, the people gathered with a buzz of energy. The front entrance has been dressed up with a Cadbury counter and a photo booth. Yes, they print your photos that you upload on Instagram with the hashtag #CadburySweetEndings. So cool! I got to have some photos of it but please forgive me for these low quality photos. I wasn't able to bring my digital camera.

While in the area, we took some photos for remembrance of this happy day. I can see in their faces that they were really enjoying the night even if the movie hasn't started yet. After some photo ops and selfie posts, we got our tickets and went straight to get our cheese and barbecue popcorn with drinks. The organizers were really generous to us! :)

Upon entering the cinema, the Cadbury’s commercial were played for several times all of us got into Last Song Syndrome mode. Haha. You know what I'm talking about. Hahaha :D

Before the movie started, there were games and raffles. Good thing I chose the front seats so I get to participate in Bring Me. The Nuffie host asked to bring anything that is French-inspired. Luckily, I have my cutie little Eiffel Tower key chain hanging on my bag. Cadbury being ever so generous, prizes include a BIG BOX of Cadbury Dairy Milk with special notebooks and gift certificates. Just WOW! :D

(special Cadbury notebooks for the winner)

After the game, the Cadbury Philippines brand manager explained to us the very reason why we were all gathered there – the launch of the newest limited edition French-Inspired flavors of Cadbury. They are French Vanilla and Chocolate Mousse. Let me tell you something about these two sumptuous flavors.

Cadbury Dairy Milk is the smooth and creamy chocolate that gives you sweet endings – either when enjoying it alone or with your friends. Sweet endings mean savoring the good things in life, including a bar of this smooth and creamy chocolate! Now you can have your very own sweet ending in Paris while enjoying the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Flavors:French Vanilla and Chocolate Mousse.

Enjoy the light exquisite taste of Vanilla cream-filled chocolate with the new Cadbury Dairy Milk French Vanilla. You can just imagine sitting in view of the Eiffel Tower while savoring this delicious treat! Try siting in a quaint cafĂ© while enjoying the sites and this new flavor.

Then there’s Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Chocolate Mousse. Did you know that the word mousse in French means “foam?” Hear the strains of “La Vie en Rose” as you bite into the light and airy taste of chocolate-flavored cream covered in delicious milk chocolate. Watch the beautiful Manila sunset while on a Balcony and the experience of eating this chocolate will be just as romantic.

Cadbury Dairy Milk French Vanilla and Chocolate Mousse are available beginning November 2014 in the big and satisfying 180g pack for an SRP of only P180.00. Hurry though because these delectable sweet endings are yours for a limited time only.

I am really enjoying these two new flavors, mainly because it has been my dream to go and visit France. I even have some Eiffel Tower collectibles. Haha.

But again, if I’m gonna choose between the two, I would still prefer the French Vanilla. That sweet filling makes me forget all my troubles. :)

To continue with our sweetest night ever, they already played the movie. All of us really enjoyed it.

After the movie, each of us was given a big purple box of Cadbury with the new flavors and some original chocolate bars. Isn't that amazing?

It was made even perfect and is a very good timing because my partner and I are celebrating our 3rd Anniversary. That made it even sweeter! :)

It was not our usual Friday night. It was one wonderful day to remember. The unending conversation with friends and loved ones who I consider the best people in the world, the bonding over sumptuous foods and laughter during this #CadburySweetEndings movie experience was the right way to cap the day. Indeed, all good things in life must really be savored!

Thanks again to Cadbury and Nuffnang for making this day possible and for the awesome treats!

Cadbury: Your Sweet Company on the Road of Discovery!

I've always dreamed to visit Paris, France. Their architecture really fascinates me. From beautiful museums, up to gigantic buildings, I've always admired how they created them. They are beautifully and wonderfully created, if I may say. Not to mention that their amazing architectural structures stood over the time-decades even centuries.

One of my favorite destination is the popular Eiffel Tower. I even get to the point of searching the web for some fun facts about this Iron Lady. And just an update, last October 6, the newly renovated first floor gallery was unveiled. Even though I've never been there before, I always enjoy stories of my friends about their vacation. I may be jealous but I know there will come a time that I, too, can visit Eiffel Tower, in the near future. :)

But for now, I can only check it out on Google Maps. Haha. But I'm still already enjoying this. :D

I also created a Paris-inspired picture of me and my friends. For now, this is the closest that we can get. We're just totally excited to visit this City of Love, taking unlimited selfies in this picturesque city, roaming around this fashionable Paris, and at the end of the busy day, we can look back on that one sweet ending we enjoyed.

Luckily, there's Cadbury Dairy Milk. Our sweet endings just got more luxurious with the two new Cadbury Dairy Milk flavors: French Vanilla and Chocolate Mousse. They will totally give you an awesome feeling like you're already in Paris every time you bite these two new flavors.

But between the two, me and my barkada would prefer French Vanilla. Why?

Well, of course, one of the reasons is that chocolate is just so mainstream/typical. Also, I would say that Vanilla is healthier. Per 100g, vanilla has less than half as many calories and no caffeine compared to chocolate. It seems like we're going to enjoy the light exquisite taste of Vanilla cream-filled chocolate with the new Cadbury Dairy Milk French Vanilla. We can just imagine sitting in view of the Eiffel Tower while savoring this delicious treat!

I also read an article about a research of what personality you have depending on what flavor you choose. It says there that if your favorite flavor is Vanilla, you’re more likely to be optimist, flexible and an idealist. :)

I'm proud to say I'm from #TeamFrenchVanilla! :)

And fortunately, Cadbury Dairy Milk French Vanilla and Chocolate Mousse are available beginning November 2014 in the big and satisfying 180g pack for an SRP of only P180.00. Hurry now and indulge yourself because these delectable sweet endings are yours for a limited time only.

May you have sweet endings with Cadbury Dairy Milk too!

Special thanks to Nuffnang Philippines!

Sweet Endings with My #Cadbury Barkada

Talk about sweetness, who wouldn't know Cadbury? Our all time favorite milk chocolate. :)

And here's what I've been looking forward to -- enjoying my rest day while eating Cadbury! As a call center agent, one way of protecting my voice is by disciplining myself. Everybody knows how I love chocolates! But as I enter this kind of industry, eating chocolate is one of the DON'Ts. But I just can't resist Cadbury - truly mouthwatering! :)

That's why I really enjoy this Sunday night with my Barkada slash family while watching The Avengers for the nth time and delighting ourselves with #CadburySweetEndings :)

Looking forward to next RD and share another bite of sweetness and just enjoy every minute with my barkada and loved ones. :)

Voice: The Most Important Tool On My Current Job

I've been in the call center industry for not more than a year. But guess what, I have already experienced voice irritation for several times. I was even sent to the Emergency Room to get a proper treatment. Of course, I was alarmed by this. Thank God I was able to recover my voice after a week.

I am pretty aware that my voice, for me, is the most important tool on my current job. Five out of seven days a week, I need to take calls and assist customers with their hotel reservation. I need to speak for straight 8 hours on this job. Meaning, my voice will, most of the time, be abused. The very reason why I've been experiencing acute irritation of voice.

That's why I've decided to write this post to give you, my very readers, some tips on how to take care of your speaking voice.

First, BREATHE (deeply):

Remember, you can only speak as long as you breathe. After all, our voice is a wind instrument. Supply with the right amount of air in order to power your talk.

Few years ago, I was chosen to luckily join a voice lesson for free. Our voice mentor taught us a quick exercise before getting up to speak or even before singing. One should find a place to pause for a while and do a few breathing exercises. She mentioned that beginning speakers often hurt their voices because they aren't breathing deeply enough.

Second, RELAX:

One of the reasons for voice hoarseness is the tension in our upper body which diminishes the power of our voice. Over time, it can adversely affect our throat and can even lead to vocal chord damage. Sometimes, it is serious enough to even require a surgical repair. Isn't it alarming?

Learn to relax. Anyway, it not only helpful for our voice but to our overall health as well. Remember that emotional and physical stress both contribute significantly to vocal distress. Relax your body and let whatever tautness is there flow out each time you exhale.

Third, MAINTAIN GOOD VOCAL HEALTH:

Condition your voice. A simple tender loving care on your voice would mean a lot like gargling, avoiding smoking cigarettes, avoiding breathing smoggy or polluted air and massaging the neck. This will help you assure that your voice is in it's best possible condition.

Another thing, of course, eat a balanced diet. At times of extended vocal use, avoid large amount of salt and refined sugar, spicy foods, as well as excessive amounts of food and alcohol.

Fourth, HYDRATE REGULARLY:

Water will be your best friend when you experience voice distress. Drinking plenty of water before and during your talk would really save your day. That is because, talking for long periods can dry out your vocal apparatus, making it more prone to damage and fatigue.

Maintain body hydration, 7 to 9 glasses of water a day, and avoid known dietary diuretics such as caffeine and alcohol. Take note that moisture is a necessary lubricant of the vocal folds.

Fifth, EMPOWER THE VOICE:

Just for example, getting a good night's sleep. By doing this, you'll have more vocal energy. Thus, avoiding sounding tired and irritated.

I do hope that WE can apply these steps regularly to avoid any more complications. Have a safe day!
